Under the name Pelete, handmade hats are created on Lanzarote, inspired by classic Canarian straw-hat traditions. Each piece is made individually, blending local craftsmanship with modern shapes and colors.
Pelete describes itself as “la sombrera Canaria en todas sus versiones” — the Canarian hat tradition in many different versions. The hats are handmade locally, one by one, with patience and careful attention to detail. The result is comfortable, practical designs with real identity, perfect for everyday life and also as an authentic island keepsake.
Collections range from classic, natural designs to hats with color accents or decorative details. Pelete works closely with local shops and markets and sees itself as part of Lanzarote’s contemporary craft culture: regional, sustainably minded, and focused on bringing a traditional product into the present.
